At History For Hire, we are true fans of books, especially ones with

great graphics and also non-fiction ones with great information.

A couple of years ago, we decided to form our own publishing arm

with the idea of doing Hybrid books — ones that are not only well-researched,

factual works that greatly advance the general knowledge on a particular subject,

but that are also very image-rich, and can stand on their own with the graphic content alone.

Our first offering is "Vox Amplifiers, The JMI Years." Twelve years in the making, this book is the complete story on the guitars amplifiers that The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and virtually all of the British Invasion groups of the mid-1960s.

With sales to over 15 countries, and absolutely rave reviews, it has already been acknowledged as raising the bar on books about rock and roll equipment.

Future titles include, "Adrian, American Designer," currently under completion, about the legendary costume designer who clothed everyone from Jean Harlow to Joan Crawford to the Munchkins.
