Whether you visit us in person or shop via
the web, we are happy to help you through the rental process. The
first step is to pick out the props that are right for your project.
John Tibbetts served in the US Navy for eight years, reaching the
rank of Petty Officer, 2nd
Class. While in the service, he oversaw weaponry, from small arms up to
nuclear weapons. John now heads up our Military and Police Departments. He
is very knowledgeable about military and law enforcement props and set
dressing, as well as watches, coins and currency. A go getter, John will
make sure that whatever you select gets to you when you need it
Seiji Kobayashi
joins us from his hometown of Kyoto, Japan. An
accomplished guitar player, Seiji has worked at many of the vintage guitar
shops in Los Angles, and does all the repairs to our stringed instruments.
It is no surprise that he heads up our Music Division. Knowledgeable with
Asian props in general, Seiji is very familiar with Japanese history. Fluent
in several languages, he has been valuable in translating scripted graphics
items into Japanese. A great organizer, Seiji enjoys making sure you get
what you need.
Pam Elyea, along with
her husband Jim, own History For Hire, Inc. and is a graduate of the
Art Center College of Design with a degree in photography. Pam has extensive
experience in sales, marketing and advertising. Her knowledge of the rental
stock of History For Hire is encyclopedic. If we have it, Pam will know.
Pam's special interest is the 1939 World's Fair and her collection contains
many rare and one-of-a-kind items from that exhibition
